The Dutch Embassy in Qatar and the Task Force Health Care (TFHC) organized a health mission to Qatar from 28– 30 of October 2019.
One of the main goals of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 is to ensure a comprehensive world-class health care system accessible to the whole population. Moreover, the Qatari government is constantly upgrading the quality of health services using technology, international expertise, and knowledge, which provides opportunities for the Dutch LSH sector.
A Dutch LSH delegation was in the fast-growing healthcare market to learn more about the Qatari health market and to meet new relevant business contacts.
After the kick-off and networking lunch, the Dutch LSH delegation visited the private Al-Ahli Hospital. The high-tech hospital includes 250 beds and has a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities. The second day included visits to the public Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital and Hamad Medical Corporation hospital, followed by a networking reception with Qatari health stakeholders (Board members of Dutch Business Council in Qatar and Local & Dutch professionals active in Qatari healthcare).
The Middle East remains an interesting region for opportunities, hence there will be a health mission organized to The United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 23-25 March. With a vision to develop a world-class health care infrastructure, the UAE government is expanding and upgrading the healthcare system extensively so that it corresponds to international standards.
