Are you ready for the next step and curious about how to implement your healthcare innovation abroad? Would you like to contribute ideas on what opportunities and tools the Municipality of Rotterdam can offer to start or boost your international journey? Then we want to welcome all healthcare organisations from the area of Rotterdam to attend this physical event! You will be informed on the current international agenda and be made aware of the available support and instruments provided by the Municipality of Rotterdam, Rotterdam Square, and the Task Force Health Care. Furthermore, this event will be used to gain insights into the type of support that your company needs to successfully expand abroad. Don’t miss this chance to co-create the international Life Sciences & Health strategy for the region of Rotterdam! 

The Municipality of Rotterdam is now teaming up with TFHC to explore the support needed for the international ambitions of our Life Sciences & Health (LS&H) companies, including those in medical technology or health technology. 

Rotterdam is a city with a distinct character – energetic and constantly evolving. Trade, entrepreneurship, and innovation are in the DNA of Rotterdam, with the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector forming the backbone of its economy. As a municipality, we are committed to supporting our SMEs by strengthening the business climate, fostering an innovative ecosystem, and backing innovation hubs and campuses.  

With the development of Rotterdam Square and the arrival of the Erasmus MC campus, our LSH010 community will expand into a broader international ecosystem. This presents an opportunity for us to explore how we can assist our Rotterdam-based SMEs in the international marketing of their innovative products, leveraging our valuable contacts at high levels of international governance and our involvement in co-organising international trade missions. Therefore, we seek to engage in dialogue with a selected group of Rotterdam’s LS&H entrepreneurs to understand their needs and explore potential collaborations, working in partnership with Task Force Health Care.

This physical event will take place in Rotterdam at Het Schielandshuis and is organised in partnership with Rotterdam Square.

• 13:55 – 14:10 Internationalisation of Rotterdam LS&H sector & how to best support SMEs looking to do business abroad

  • What are your priority markets with regard to internationalisation? 
  • What type of collective support does your company need? 
  • What type of individual support does your company need?
