Ukraine | Rebuild Ukraine Health & Rehabilitation Exhibition and Conference
Join the Netherlands delegation to the ReBuild Ukraine Health & Rehabilitation Exhibition and Conference.
When: 24-25 June 2024
Where: Warsaw, Poland
For: Rehabilitation, Mental Health, Project Development, Reconstruction
Why Ukraine?
In March 2024, the World Bank’s report highlighted Ukraine’s healthcare sector’s severe impact from the conflict, detailing $1.4 billion in damages and $17.8 billion in losses, including infrastructure destruction and heightened healthcare needs. The collapse of the Kakhovka Dam in June 2023 further intensified these issues. Despite challenges, reforms aim to improve health outcomes and efficiency. Over the next decade, $14.2 billion is needed for recovery, focusing on rebuilding and modernizing health facilities. Immediate 2024 priorities require $872.6 million for primary healthcare strengthening, facility restoration, and enhanced mental and rehabilitative services.
What to expect
The event offers an offline platform for recovery projects, technologies, equipment and investments required to restore human capital and medical infrastructure of Ukraine. One of the key priorities for restoring the healthcare system is the creation of an effective rehabilitation network, additional departments, rehabilitation centers, and the retrofitting of existing facilities, including the training of professionals. All of this requires additional funding and the support of the government and partner countries.
The conference brings together key stakeholders from the Ukrainian National and local government, Rehabilitation & Medical Centers, Donors, Financial institutions and Investors, as well as the Medical Industry. At the Ukraine National Pavilion medical recovery projects are presented.

Organizing parties
To facilitate the development and reconstruction of the healthcare system in Ukraine, the establishment of the Public-Private Health Care Recovery Platform has been initiated. Coordinated by TFHC, this platform engages active participation from Dutch and Ukrainian public and private stakeholders. Commissioned by RVO, under the International Enterprise Department (DIO) of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation (BHOS), and in collaboration with the Private Sector Development (PSD) and Business Development (BD) coaches for Ukraine from RVO, the platform aims to support private sector entities interested in contributing to the short- and/or long-term reconstruction of Ukraine’s economic conditions and public infrastructure through the promotion of private sector growth and trade.
