Thailand is well known as the medical hub for Asia. The country offers state of the art facilities and technologies, international certified medical services, excellent medical expertise, highly qualified medical professionals and a wide range of high-standard hospitals. Thailand’s position as medical hub for Asia has created many opportunities for continued growth also in other areas such as medical devices, medical services and pharmaceuticals.

The continued efforts of Thailand have driven demand of medical services and devices, especially the more sophisticated and higher end devices. Major multinational medical devices manufacturers are located in Thailand such as Essilor, 3M, Baxter, Carl Zeiss, GE Medical Systems, Guidant and Philips Medical Systems. Within the ASEAN region, which is growing towards a single market of +600 million people, Thailand is the ideal hub in this growth region.

The Dutch government is looking to tap into this growing market and promotes Dutch companies to look at the opportunities. The Dutch Embassy in Bangkok has recently produced a very informative factsheet on the sector and is very willing to support companies that would like to know more details or want to visit the region.

The BOI Deputy Secretary General, Mrs Duangjai Asawachintachit, will give a presentation to give you a better understanding of the opportunities within the Life Sciences and Medical Devices markets in Thailand and ASEAN and the support BOI Thailand can give to Dutch companies that want to become active in Thailand. Mrs Sipora Suripatty, Business Liaison Advisor at RVO, will be present to provide more information on the support from the Dutch government.

After the presentations there is time for you to briefly introduce your company and pose any questions you might have during a lunch meeting.

We are looking very much forward to welcoming you!

The roundtable is free of charge. Seating is limited and registrations are handled on a first-come-first-served basis. Please indicate the name and function of the person(s) attending.
