Brightlands China Center project “Grow Limburg economy by supporting Limburg SMEs & institutions in the Healthy Ageing market in China“ got 60k euro grant from L.E.D. (Limburg Economy Development), this project was evaluated by LED program committee and the result was announced on 23 March 2017.

The project aims to establish a platform to support Limburg Small-to-Medium-Size Enterprises (SMEs) and local institutions to collaborate with Chinese counterparts and to increase exports of life sciences products, services and technology to China. The goal is to create new job opportunities in Limburg and stimulate innovation through the growth of SMEs. This project is led by Brightlands China Center, the key project partners include Province Limburg, Maastricht municipality and LIOF. The project aims to cover a wide span of various life science areas that the 4 Brightlands Campuses are active in and the official kick-off will be in April 2017. More details will follow in the coming months.

LED is a central platform that connects companies, government and knowledge institutes, with its goal to realise the Brainport2020 program in south Limburg.
