Opportunities in Colombia

In 2015, Task Force Health Care (TFHC) and Holland House Colombia (HHCO), commissioned by RVO, performed a market study and fact-finding visit to identify opportunities for the Dutch Life Sciences & Health Sector in Colombia. The Colombian Healthcare sector is subject to rapid development in both rural and urban areas. With its large and growing middle class, it’s comparable healthcare system to the Netherlands, and it’s great lack of hospital beds as well as it’s very low local production of medical devices and innovative solutions, it is greatly interested in international expertise and innovate solutions. Due to several bilateral activities in the Healthcare Sector and a visit of a Dutch Healthcare delegation to Colombia in June 2016 – The Netherlands is high on their agenda – reason for this visit.

Ten Reasons why Colombia is interesting for the Dutch health sector can be found here.
