SMM Indonesia
The demand for healthcare solutions in Indonesia is strongly increasing. Indonesia withholds numerous Life Sciences and Health opportunities, making it both an excellent starting point for Dutch companies that want to enter the ASEAN market, and a fruitful market for those who are already active in the region. Through the extension of the strategic SMM ASEAN Connected Care program (2021-2023), focusing on Indonesia, you can meet key opinion leaders, learn about current developments, and strengthen your position on the Indonesian healthcare market.
What is the purpose of the program?
The overall objective of the extended SMM Indonesia program is the positioning of the Dutch Connected Care sector in Indonesia. It aims to support Dutch LSH organizations to establish and strengthen a sustainable collaboration relationship with all relevant stakeholders in Indonesia, including public and private sector decisionmakers, such as policymakers, developers, purchasing departments and enterprises. Next to this, the program provides organizations and companies with relevant and up-to-date information through several events.
Activities and relevant information 2023/2024
The MEDICA in Düsseldorf is the largest international trade fair for the healthcare sector. Several Indonesian companies will be present at this trade fair.
A seminar as preparation for the outgoing mission to Indonesia, focusing on local content requirements and product registration. More information will be provided on existing or to be expected regulations and their impact on doing business.
Health mission celebrating and cementing bilateral relationships in healthcare between the Netherlands and Indonesia. On the one hand, it is aimed at facilitating in-depth discussions for the positioning of established companies. On the other hand, the preparatory session makes it a good introductory visit for newcomers to Indonesia.

Follow-up activity to evaluate the outcomes of the health mission to Indonesia and to identify the next steps.
- Health~Holland Visitors Program (HVP) | September 2024
The HVP is a yearly recurring event in the Netherlands, aimed at strengthening Dutch and international Life Sciences and Health stakeholders in an effort to “future-proof” the approach to health and care. Just as previous years, high-level stakeholders from Indonesia will be invited to come to the Netherlands.

A final event to wrap-up the extension of the SMM Indonesia and to evaluate the needs for next activities to be organized in this region.
