Sweden & Norway | Life Sciences & Health Mission Oslo & Gothenburg
Are you a company or organization with little to no experience in the Nordic market, but eager to explore new opportunities in Sweden and Norway? Or are you looking to strengthen your existing connections in these countries? If so, the upcoming Life Sciences & Health mission to Sweden and Norway is tailored specifically for you.
When: 11 to 14 March 2025
Where: Oslo & Gothenburg
For: for Dutch companies
Sweden and Norway are particularly appealing for businesses new to the region because of their shared focus on healthcare innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation. Both countries prioritize international collaboration, creating accessible entry points for newcomers. Moreover, recent government initiatives in both markets have opened up fresh opportunities in areas such as eHealth, green hospital design, healthy ageing, and medical technologies. These developments make Sweden and Norway ideal for organizations looking to make their first steps into the Nordic market, supported by a welcoming and transparent business culture.
Organized by Task Force Health Care, this mission will provide valuable insights into the Nordic healthcare landscape through visits to key stakeholders, including public, private, and academic hospitals, research institutes, and health networks. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the market opportunities and challenges, along with tailored advice to help them navigate this unique region.
About Norway
Norway’s healthcare system is renowned for its innovation and sustainability. The country is actively investing in digital health, eHealth, and integrated care models, with a focus on data security, AI-driven solutions, and interoperability. For newcomers, Norway presents an opportunity to engage with an evolving market where cutting-edge technologies are being integrated into care delivery.
The Oslo region, a hub for life sciences innovation, offers Dutch companies an excellent starting point. Norway’s aging population and increasing focus on prevention and elderly care make it an attractive market for innovative solutions. Furthermore, the country’s commitment to green hospital design and sustainable healthcare practices aligns well with Dutch expertise in these areas.
About Sweden
Sweden is a leader in healthcare innovation, with strong centers for life sciences in Stockholm and Gothenburg. For organizations new to the Nordic region, Sweden provides a collaborative and open environment, where universities, hospitals, and public institutions actively partner with international businesses.
The country is addressing challenges in its decentralized healthcare system by focusing on digital health, particularly connected healthcare solutions that enhance accessibility and affordability. Sweden’s elderly care sector is also undergoing transformation, with private companies increasingly involved in providing innovative living spaces, addressing staff shortages, and implementing preventive care measures. These developments offer a wealth of opportunities for Dutch businesses entering the market.
