From June 21st to 22nd the Ukraine Recovery Conference took place in London where we were able to join, together with a core group representation of the Public Private Platform Healthcare Ukraine. In this way we were able to engage in person with the international and Ukrainian community to join forces, as coordinators of the Platform for the Reconstruction and Recovery of the Healthcare sector in Ukraine..
TFHC proudly signed the Business Compact, launched during the Conference, showing our support for Ukraine’s recovery and its drive to modernize, build a resilient and agile economy and emerge from war as a stronger and more prosperous state.
Wendy Hugoosgift, Programme Director Europe of TFHC, commented: “That is why we were at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023, mobilizing the international community to help secure Ukraine’s long-term economic future, helping Ukraine build back better, as a more resilient, greener, and more prosperous European nation.”
The conference started with a keynote speech by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister of UK Rishi Sunak and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
” It is not about the bricks, it is about the lives of people.” (President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky)
The Conference, co-hosted by Ukraine and the UK, generated greater momentum on the role of the private sector – and the reforms required to drive investment – as essential parts to generate greater momentum on Ukraine’s long-term recovery.
On day two we continued building Partnerships to accelerate Ukraine’s healthcare reconstruction. Both in the areas of Capacity Building to strengthen the healthcare system as well as collaborating on the ground with innovative Rehabilitation and Hospital solutions.

The Business Round table session on Health & Pharma gave way to explore new horizons, collaboration opportunities, principles, strategy and vision. Connecting the needs and priorities from Ukrainian stakeholders (both early recovery and reconstruction) to concrete solutions and capacity from Dutch private parties to funding that is fit for purpose under conditions of war, here and now.
A tribute to the Resilience and Courage of Ukraine, developing Healthcare in war conditions and Build Back Better.
Giving ground for impact on the ground through Dutch-Ukrainian collaboration.
