Ireland | Life Sciences & Health Trade Mission

Join the LSH Mission to Ireland

Ireland’s healthcare sector is rapidly evolving, driven by government initiatives, an ageing population, and a robust MedTech industry. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Dutch Embassy in Dublin are organising a visit to Ireland from 11 to 13 May 2026: Handelsmissie life sciences and health (LSH) naar Ierland | RVO.nl.

This mission follows the market study conducted by Task Force Health Care in 2025. The study provides insights into Ireland’s Life Sciences & Health (LSH) sector, with a focus on Connected Health, Medical Technology (MedTech), and Healthy Ageing (not included in the trade mission). The full report (in Dutch) is available on the RVO website: Market report Ireland: Opportunities in Life Sciences & Health | RVO.nl

How This Event Supports Your Growth

The Irish LSH-sector is a strong and dynamic market and is rapidly developing. Its strong academic community, and open environment for international collaboration make it a relevant market for Dutch LSH organisations. The mission aims to help participants explore opportunities, navigate regulatory developments, and build sustainable partnerships.

The Irish healthcare system is placing increasing emphasis on digitalization and innovative solutions that improve access to care. Ireland is investing heavily in modernising its health services, including electronic health records, community-based care, and technologies that support an ageing population and rising rates of chronic diseases. By adopting these innovations, Ireland aims to enhance the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of its healthcare system. To digitise the Irish LSH sector, there is collaboration between parties such as the Health Service Executive (HSE), companies, knowledge institutions and Irish sector clusters. Dutch companies can collaborate with them and thus gain access to the Irish market.

All these developments present opportunities for Dutch companies active in the following areas:
– Personalised healthcare
– AI tools for LSH
– Sustainable healthcare innovations

Participation in this mission will help you:

– Explore concrete market opportunities across Ireland’s LSH landscape.
– Meet potential partners, innovation hubs, and healthcare stakeholders.
– Position your organisation within a market undergoing major digital and structural transformation.
– Gain direct insights into Ireland’s healthcare priorities, procurement processes, and routes to market.
