Why Kenya?

Kenya is a regional health and innovation hub, with a growing demand for high-quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare solutions.

While challenges such as funding delays, bureaucratic hurdles, and infrastructural gaps remain within Kenya’s public health sector, important progress is being made, particularly through Universal Health Coverage (UHC) reforms and county-level health leadership. These reforms are gradually improving coordination, procurement processes, and openness to innovation.

At the same time, the private and faith-based sectors continue to lead in agility and innovation, with strong interest in diagnostics, digital tools, biomedical services, and workforce development.

Through associations such as Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), Rural Private Hospitals Association of Kenya (RUPHA), and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK), these providers are increasingly organised and open to collaboration, representing a strategic entry point for Dutch solutions looking to scale sustainably and generate impact.

Why Participate?

This mission is tailored to ensure you:

  • Engage directly with facility owners, administrators, and umbrella organisations representing hundreds of hospitals and clinics
  • Validate your offering against actual health system needs, with an emphasis on end-user value and service delivery integration
  • Explore what works in the Kenyan context, through case-based discussions and co-creation workshops
  • Participate actively in focused engagement sessions, market dialogues, and site visits that provide insight and networks needed for scalable success

The Impact Mission is centred on developing a joint strategic approach that aligns with Kenya’s health priorities.

This mission is not about transactional trade, but about creating lasting impact in the market through long-term engagement. It offers a hands-on, insight-driven experience for companies and organisations eager to forge meaningful partnerships, pilot innovative solutions, and lay the groundwork for sustainable market entry or expansion.
