How This Event Supports Your Growth
Denmark is implementing its National Healthcare Reform (2024), which aims to strengthen the sustainability and quality of healthcare delivery. The reform places strong emphasis on improving coordination between hospitals, municipalities and primary care, while accelerating the use of digital solutions, health data and artificial intelligence.
A key development is the establishment of Digital Health Denmark in 2027, a new national entity intended to strengthen digital infrastructure and data-driven healthcare across sectors. In addition, Denmark is establishing a National Center for Health Innovation in Odense to accelerate collaboration between healthcare providers, companies and research institutions and support the development and scaling of innovative healthcare solutions. Key priorities include addressing ageing-related challenges, improving care pathways and introducing technologies that support healthcare professionals and patients. Sweden continues to develop one of Europe’s innovation-driven healthcare systems, with strong ambitions in healthcare transformation, prevention and personalised care. National priorities include improving public health, strengthening elderly care, advancing precision medicine and using innovation to address workforce challenges.
Sweden is investing in new healthcare technologies, medical devices and data-driven solutions that support earlier diagnosis, better treatment outcomes and more patient-centred care. With its strong research ecosystem and close collaboration between academia, healthcare providers and industry, Sweden offers opportunities for innovative healthcare solutions.

The session will explore opportunities for Dutch companies active in medical technology, digital health, elderly care, prevention and public health, sustainable healthcare and integrated care solutions to contribute to the transformation of Nordic healthcare systems.
In addition to market developments, the programme will highlight practical examples of international collaboration and routes into Nordic healthcare markets, including:

- International projects and partnerships: Sharing experiences and lessons from collaborations, with a focus on how Dutch Life Sciences & Health organisations can develop international partnerships and identify opportunities for growth.
- Connecting with the Danish healthcare innovation ecosystem: Exploring opportunities to engage with relevant partners through international innovation networks such as Medical Valley, including targeted networking activities and events that can support Dutch organisations in building relationships and exploring the Danish market.
Together, these examples will offer practical insights into how Dutch organisations can navigate the Nordic healthcare landscape, find the right partners and turn international collaboration into concrete opportunities.
