How This Event Supports Your

Growth

Kenya’s healthcare sector is undergoing significant transformation, driven by healthcare financing reforms, increasing private sector participation, digitalisation, and the ambition to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The private healthcare sector plays a critical role in this transformation, delivering approximately half of Kenya’s healthcare services and increasingly contributing to innovation, quality improvement, and expansion of healthcare access.

Building on three years of Combi Track Kenya programme, the 2026 programme introduces a dedicated focus on the private healthcare sector. This strategic shift responds to the growing role of private providers in Kenya’s health system and recommendations from the recent Combi Track evaluation, which highlighted the importance of engaging more closely with private sector stakeholders.

At the same time, private healthcare organisations in Kenya face structural challenges, including limited access to affordable financing, high investment costs, gaps in medical equipment financing, and challenges related to technical support and sustainable implementation. Addressing these challenges requires more than individual solutions; it requires long-term partnerships that combine healthcare expertise, technology, financing, and capacity building.

This networking reception brings together key representatives from Kenya’s private healthcare ecosystem, including the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK), and Rural & Urban Private Hospitals Association (RUPHA). The event offers Dutch Life Sciences & Health organisations the opportunity to gain insight into private sector priorities, explore strategic collaboration opportunities, and connect with stakeholders actively shaping the future of healthcare delivery in Kenya.
