Last week 17 delegates from the Indian Life Sciences and Health sector visited to Netherlands to further explore cooperation with Dutch organisations and to seek new ways of collaboration with relation to eHealth. The group consisted of high level representatives from hospitals, universities and industry. The programme was focused on eHealth related to Chronic Diseases, Elderly Care and Mental Health and the Smart Solutions the Netherlands and India have to offer.
The programme started off at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports. During the workshop at the Ministry discussions on the Dutch LSH eco-system, financing of healthcare and technology and healthcare took place. The programme continued with a visit to Nijmegen where the delegation was shown the vision of the future of healthcare by the Radboud REshape center. At the iXperium lab of HAN University of Applied Sciences the delegates were able to test different technologies and application. The visit to Nijmegen ended at the Sint Maartenskliniek, where innovations at the hospital were discussed.
At Maastricht UMC+ we discussed eHealth implementation within the hospital and different eHealth solutions and research on cardiovascular diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases and mental health were showcased. A visit to the Philips Innovation Center in Eindhoven was centralized around the continuum of mother- and childcare. At the Technical University we visited Eindhoven Medical Robotics where newly developed robotic systems where shown.
The visit ended with a second Indo-Dutch eHealth Living Lab workshop and a large seminar with the Dutch LSH sector where project proposals and smart solutions surrounding the three main themes of the mission where discussed.
