Last week, Task Force Health Care, together with Health Holland, Amsterdam Trade & Invest, InnovationQuarter, BOM, and LIOF, proudly represented the Netherlands Life Sciences & Health (LSH) ecosystem at HLTH Europe 2026 in Amsterdam.
Throughout the week, we welcomed international delegations, facilitated strategic discussions on market access, showcased Dutch innovation at the NL Health Holland Pavilion, and connected healthcare leaders from around the world during the Dutch Networking Reception. Together, these activities highlighted the strength of the Netherlands as Europe’s Connected Life Sciences & Health Metropolis and created valuable opportunities for international collaboration.
What We Did
Welcoming international delegations
Ahead of the official opening of HLTH Europe, we welcomed delegations from Spain and the United States for a dedicated LSH day-programme focused on exploring the Dutch healthcare and innovation ecosystem.
The US delegation, consisting of US powerhouses like Kaiser Permanente and MD Anderson, visited leading organisations including Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), Leiden Bio Science Park, Mimetas, and Adore – Amsterdam UMC, exchanging insights and exploring collaboration opportunities across topics such as hybrid care, remote patient monitoring, oncology innovation, organ-on-a-chip technology, and advanced therapies.
At the same time, the Spanish delegation explored opportunities for collaboration through discussions on innovation validation, reimbursement pathways, public-private partnerships, and international growth with experts from Amsterdam UMC, IXA, and ELLLA.
Market Access Session
A key highlight of the programme was the Market Access Session: “Scaling Health Innovation in Europe: Why the Netherlands?”
Bringing together international delegates, innovators, investors, and ecosystem partners, the session explored how health companies can successfully enter and scale within the European market. Discussions focused on market access, investment opportunities, regulatory pathways, partnerships, and the unique advantages of the Netherlands as a gateway to Europe.
The session created a platform for knowledge exchange and fostered new connections between Dutch and international stakeholders.
The NL Health Holland Pavilion
From 16–18 June, the NL Health Holland Pavilion served as the central meeting point for Dutch health innovation at HLTH Europe.
The pavilion brought together 25 innovative Dutch companies showcasing solutions across digital health, medtech, and diagnostics. Throughout the event, the pavilion welcomed a continuous flow of international partners interested in learning more about the Dutch ecosystem.
Dutch Networking Reception
On Wednesday afternoon, the Dutch Networking Reception at the NL Health Holland Pavilion provided an informal setting to exchange ideas, strengthen existing relationships, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. With 100+ participants from across the globe, the event demonstrated the international position of the Dutch LSH sector and the collaborative spirit that continues to drive innovation forward.

Key Takeaways
Several themes emerged throughout the week:
-International collaboration remains essential for accelerating healthcare innovation and bringing solutions to patients faster.
-The Netherlands continues to be recognised as a leading health innovation hub, offering strong public-private partnerships, world-class research institutions, and a supportive business environment.
-Dutch innovators are attracting significant international interest, creating promising opportunities for future partnerships, investments, and market expansion.
What’s Next?
While HLTH Europe 2026 has come to an end, the conversations and connections made during the week are only the beginning.
Together with our partners, we will continue supporting Dutch innovators in their international ambitions by facilitating follow-up meetings, strengthening newly established relationships, and helping organisations explore opportunities for collaboration and growth.
We would like to thank all participating companies, delegates, collaboration partners, and visitors who contributed to a successful week. We look forward to building on the momentum generated at HLTH Europe 2026 and continuing to showcase the strength of the Dutch Life Sciences & Health ecosystem worldwide.
