On 10 March 2016 the Task Force Health Care (TFHC), the platform for the Life Sciences & Health sector (LSH), organised its bi-annual event that focuses on international opportunities for Dutch Healthcare SMEs, knowledge institutes, universities, university medical centres, NGOs and the government. A total of 115 companies and organisations from the LSH sector came together at VNO-NCW for a full day of interesting healthcare seminars and networking.
During the plenary programme trendwatcher and international keynote speaker Richard van Hooijdonk took the delegates on an inspiring journey towards the future of technology:
“Innovative technology will have an great impact on our healthcare system and gradually change life, work and business as we know it today.”
Next there was a special moment for the Top Sector LSH and TFHC. Both chairmen, Raaijmakers and Teeling, signed a new covenant that officially confirms the partnership between the two organisations. In the future, the TFHC will coordinate the export promotion of the Dutch Life Sciences & Health sector under the flag of Health~Holland.
This allows the TFHC to become the officially appointed executive body of the Top Sector LSH in relation to the numerous export activities. With a new Export Implementation Plan, Top Sector LSH and TFHC will be able to set out and realise ambitious objectives, which will significantly reinforce the international position of the Dutch LSH sector.
The programme continued with breakout sessions on topics such as our successful healthcare system, the Colombian healthcare market, international business development in Indionesia, and the international strategy of Top Sector LSH.
