Delft Imaging Systems b.v. ( www.delft.care) from Veenendaal is an internationally recognised producer and supplier of medical diagnostic imaging equipment. The company’s own digital x-ray solutions are specifically aimed at improving diagnostics in tuberculosis. Its innovative and unique CAD4TB software system automatically screens pulmonary x-rays for the presence of TB. The mobile OneStopTB Clinic combines this CAD software with Delft’s digital x-ray technology,  enabling Delft to become a key international player in pushing back TB worldwide.  Delft also has long-running experience with the use of a complete Diagnostic Clinic concept that offers a full-service radiology centre tailored to low and middle-income countries.

Brecon International b.v. ( http://www.breconinternational.com/en/ ) from Etten-Leur is a member of the Brecon Group, a specialist in cleanroom technology. With an organisational focus mainly on expanding export activities, it develops and supplies turnkey modular clinics as well as mobile clean air units for use in OR centres. It therefore operates in much the same field as Delft Imaging Systems b.v.

Over the past six months the two companies have been paving the way for closer cooperation in the design and construction of diagnostic clinics. Brecon will supply the modular designs and prefab components for the buildings, including all special structural features (lead shielding, Faraday cage, etc.), assuring Delft consistent quality and a uniform look. Because the building concepts can be quickly assembled on-site, this arrangement will also save a considerable amount of time.

As partners, Delft and Brecon have already engaged a single distributor to serve the Indonesian health market. In the years ahead, Indonesia will be investing heavily in expanding national healthcare, making this a strong potential market. In the first week of August 2015, Geerd Jansen of Brecon International and Guido Geerts of Delft Imaging Systems signed a letter of intent with Modular Technology Nusantara, a subsidiary of steel giant DCP. The distribution agreement will soon be presented to Indonesia’s Ministry of Health for its seal of approval.

The two CEOs are very enthusiastic about these developments and believe there are great opportunities in store.
