From 6 to 10 July 2026, Task Force Health Care (TFHC) welcomed a high-level Ukrainian delegation for a week-long study visit across the Netherlands. The programme was organised in cooperation with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) under the Public-Private Healthcare Recovery Platform.
Bringing together representatives from regional authorities, hospitals, and healthcare organisations, the visit focused on strengthening knowledge exchange around resilient healthcare infrastructure, hospital modernisation, and sustainable recovery. Throughout the week, delegates explored how Dutch expertise in healthcare infrastructure planning, technology, logistics, and public-private collaboration can support the modernisation, reconstruction, and long-term resilience of Ukraine’s healthcare system
Main Activities
During the programme, the delegation participated in a series of expert sessions, site visits, and knowledge-exchange activities focused on resilient healthcare infrastructure, sustainable innovation, and integrated healthcare solutions.
Strategic Healthcare Design & Development
The programme commenced with a Design & Development Session hosted by Gortemaker Algra Feenstra (G.A.F.), where delegates engaged with Dutch experts in healthcare architecture, consultancy, project development, accessibility, and inclusive design. Interactive breakout discussions highlighted how strategic planning and collaboration
Hospital Innovation & Modular Healthcare Visits to Isala Hospital and Elkerliek Hospital demonstrated how Dutch healthcare providers combine innovation with practical implementation. Delegates explored hospital development, patient-centred care, and modular healthcare solutions that enable flexible, efficient, and high-quality healthcare delivery.
Medical Logistics & Healthcare Supply Chains
At Medical Export Group (MEG), delegates gained insights into international medical logistics, procurement, and resilient healthcare supply chains. Together with Coolfinity, discussions showcased the importance of reliable cold chain solutions for medicines and vaccines in ensuring continuity of care.
Smart, Sustainable & Future-Proof Healthcare Infrastructure
Visits to Solarge, Signify, VDL, and Philips highlighted Dutch innovations in renewable energy, smart healthcare technologies, diagnostics, modular construction, artificial intelligence, and circular healthcare. Together, these examples demonstrated how integrated solutions contribute to resilient, sustainable, and future-ready healthcare systems.
