As Task Force Health Care focuses on multi-year programs that are strongly linked to the priority countries like Indonesia and China, markets, and themes, we have set up the 2 following multi-year programs:
We also have conducted lots of market studies that give insight in the LSH sector of a specific country. A team of experts in the field carried out the researches. For the studies, we used our accumulation of knowledge, experience, network and works closely with the Dutch Topsector Life Sciences & Health.

What trends do we see in Asia?
In Asia a great deal of effort is put into digitization to improve access to healthcare, mother and child care, prevention and healthy living and healthy ageing. As the middle class grows and there is an ageing population, there is an increasing demand for affordable, efficient, and effective health care. Some countries are even among the leaders in the health care market, especially in the field of stand alone solutions. However, help is needed to integrate these solutions in the healthcare. As many countries also impose restrictions on the import of foreign products, Dutch companies should focus on open minded solutions, like working with local producers.
Regional information
ASEAN (South East Asia)

- maintain contacts through digital sessions.
- explore the possibility of visiting physically as a follow-up to previous missions
East Asia
- Fact: in East Asia they are highly technologically developed, and they have a strong, innovative LSH sector.
- Difficulty: They already have a large industry of their own in the field of medical devices and technology.
- Chance: the ageing population.
- The next years, we’ll:
- focus on the health and wellness weeks in Japan.
